WEGO is an apparel shop and has about 60 plus branches all over Japan. They sell men's and women's fashion clothing and accessories. They sell low price and high-quality products at their stores.

Recently I went to the store and saw an amazing new thing at their stores through which many Muslim customers can be attracted and will go crazy like me. Apart from these fashion apparel, they have started selling some food snack items at their few stores which was an amazing marketing trick to attract customers to buy those food items as they were not pricey. The snacks they started selling at their stores were mostly imported, not Japan-made. They had placed a shelf just near their reception counters. The shelf was filled with gummies, marshmallows, ramen, chips, candies, etc. I was just passing by thinking it will be haram as gummies and marshmallows can hardly be found as Halal in Japan at shops. But then my eyes just stopped over the Halal mark on the box. It attracted me to the shelf and I started checking all the items with great excitement. And I was so happy to find not one but yes more than 10 items as Halal certified. There were sour worm jellies, sugar-coated jellies, gummy bears, fruit jellies in different kinds, some Yupi brand jellies too in 3-4 different kinds, 3-4 kinds of Halal certified marshmallows in different cute designs and shapes. And the other side of the shelf had some Halal-certified Korean box ramen. But yes, they have placed other products as well among jellies, marshmallows, ramen, and other snacks which were haram for us not Muslim friendly. So, with such excitement, I bought around 3 types of jellies and a marshmallow packet, and a few ramen boxes. Jellies and marshmallows were cheap as they were just 216 Yen or 303Yen. It was a nice experience for me as we hardly get such items here in local shops but luckily found some Halal treats for myself.

These Halal goodies are only in stores as it is not a food store but just had a shelf placed to attract customers buying a few imported goods while shopping or coming to the counter in the end. I wish such type Halal-certified options would be available everywhere in Japan in the future so that Muslims can get Halalfoodinjapan very easily.
