MALAYCHAN HALAL a Malaysian restaurant at IKEBUKURO

It's really hard to find Halal Malaysian food in Japan which is actually authentic although many restaurants serve Malaysian food but many have Japanese flavor touch which doesn’t make it authentic Malay food. Malay Chan restaurant is an authentic Malaysian restaurant in the shopping district of Ikebukuro,Tokyo. It is about 9-minute walk from west exit of ikebukuro station. And it is also near to Otsuka Mosque, which is just next station to ikebukuro station. This restaurant serves authentic Malaysian food dishes. The owner is Japanese but chef is Muslim. Very friendly restaurant that serves 100% HALAL food. It is HALAL certified. The atmosphere is very comfortable even the restaurant is small. They serve perfect Malay food with big portions in good prices. Lunch menu is limited but have almost main dishes of Malaysia but you can order from their grand menu too. After being amazed with the menu I decided to order 1 CURRY PUFF and TOM YUM NOODLES BOWL with rice. Both dishes were served hot and freshly made. Curry puff was of mild taste was okay for me as I am a spicy food lover, I enjoyed TOMYUM NOODLES most. It was spicy and perfect TOMYUM NOODLES. I was shocked with the portion size. It was too much that I asked to pack the remaining left food. I must say that this restaurant serves the best Malay food in Tokyo. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is must to try if you are a Malay food lover like me. I will surely visit them again too to enjoy their other dishes. And yes, they gave me one small DIY cat keychain as a present to me for my kids. TruEly amazed with their good service.
