Indian cuisine is a collection of numerous hyper –regionalist cultures. So, if you want have authentic South Indian cuisine then must check CURRY LEAVES RESTAURANT. It is located in north area of Tokyo. It can be easily reached, as nearest train station is Jujo station in Saikyo- line. This little restaurant is located inside the JUJO GINZA SHOPPING MALL. Just next to it there is one halal food shop as well. A very well-organized restaurant with single chair sitting arrangement at their ground level and for families or group they have a proper sitting arrangement upstairs. While entering I saw few pictures of Japanese artists , so many Japanese artists also have visited this restaurant. They sell hot Indian Chai as well, there is a big pot from where hot chai can be ordered or served just for 200 Yen. Food prices are very reasonable. Not only snacks like pani puri , samosa, chicken cutlet, they also serve full kind of Indian food from Indian curries to dosa verities as well. Their menu is huge. They also serve many sweet dishes like Gulab jamun too. I ordered Masala Dosa, Vegetable Chicken Soup and Gulab Jamuns which costed me around 1600 yen, I forgot the exact figure. Their soup was very rich in taste and amazing. Coming to Dosa, dosa was very nice. Three small side dishes or chutneys were given to eat with Dosa. Coconut chutney was cold and spicy good texture. Second was Vegetable sambal, it tasted good but seems like a texture of daal or lentils flavour with vegetables. A complimentary cup of Ginger Tea was given to me as I was feeling very cold. Third was their Tomato chutney, it was my favourite amazing texture and great flavour. 2 Gulab jamuns was served after asking from me whether I want it cold or hot, so I asked for hot but I literally didn’t enjoy it or liked it as I was expecting much good Gulab jamun, it was just okay to me. Tea was amazing, in cold weather perfect thing to end your food. It is a well maintained south Asian cuisine restaurant with friendly staff. So, look them up if you want your South Indian taste buds fixed from their amazing food.
