Nowadays there are tons of Kebab shops found in Tokyo or in other areas in Japan. But many of them are just okay to eat but some shops are very delicious which makes us to go after their kebabs again and again. Finding authentic or great taste among kebabs is pretty hard because now every single man whether Turkish or from other country is opening kebab shops or selling kebabs in small vans. Japanese may find it has the same taste or younger generations may find it okay but usually foreigners only love the amazing kebab makers.

Doner kebabs are the cheapest food found in Japan. As its easy on pockets and fill your tummy too. I found one small kebab shop very near to Takadanobaba station and it was Halal. Mekan kebab shop was the name. Their kebab prices were 500 Yen for regular size ,600 Yen for big size and it goes till 700 Yen for big size kebab don or kebab wrap but it can be customized too by adding jalapenos or extra cheese for an extra amount. They had 3 sauce choices: mild, mix and hot.

I ordered a kebab sandwich; he gave it to me within a few minutes. To be honest it was just okay, it tasted just like a regular random kebab sandwich. Not very tasty but it was good enough to fill your tummy. Served hot and fresh but I personally didn’t enjoy it. I prefer other kebab shops but I will say it is the cheapest kebab shop and the nearest kebab shop is just next to Takadanobaba station.

If I go to Takadanobaba I will surely like to look for other Halal options than this kebab shop but for emergencies or pocket friendly it is okay to go for their kebabs.
