Azumaya, a buckwheat noodle restaurant in Iwate Prefecture that has been open since 1907, is aiming to make Muslim-friendly wankosoba. Normally, Muslims are unable to consume wankosoba because to the presence of mirin in the source. As a result, Azumaya has created a source without mirin, and they even cook it in a different pot. 15 bowls of wankosoba are considered to equal 1 portion of regular soba noodle. You'll also get an original certificate if you can finish more than 100 bowls. In honor of your vacation to Tohoku, please enjoy the wankosoba of Iwate Prefecture. If you want to order halal wankosoba, please call three days ahead to make a reservation.
